The clover leaf shaped tubing has been replaced with polygonal tubing, which Colnago says increases the stiffness, while reducing vibration. 2009 Pinarello FP3 Centaur Road Bike

The GTR Carbon Sport features a much underrated full carbon monocoque frame. This style of frame construction ensures a flawless finish combined with the normal sought after features of comfort and rigidity. The result is a frame that forms an exceptional basis for a real performance bike. An Oversize Bottom bracket utilizing the very latest technology of Press Fit Bearings, gives the rider an almost unfair advantage by utilizing a low "Q factor" which means that the riders feet are positioned closer for optimum efficiency. Because of this stiffness in the bottom bracket area, the frame efficiently transfers the riders pedalling force into forward motion. This explains why it is such a great sprint and/or hill climbing bike.
