The Pinarello brand of bikes are famous around the world as an 8 time winner of the Tour de France. Pinarello, who have been making bikes for over fifty years under their own name recently introduced the Opera brand into the market as part of their global expansion.
The Opera Bernini is a mid range road bike which would be an ideal bike for someone who sees themselves as that bit more serious than the average recreational rider. Perhaps someone who rides at least a few days a week including a big ride on the weekend or someone who trains a few days a week and races at the local club each weekend. Not a Tour de France bike, but a good, solid, reliable bike with a pedigree that guarantees its suitability to longer rides.
The frame itself is made of aluminium, and has carbon rear stays and carbon front forks which help to dampen out a lot of road vibration. It is equipped with Campagnolo 20 speed gears and a combination of other quality components commensurate with the price level and its intended use.
