Price was $349, but now marked down to just $299! |
This bike has front suspension and "v" brakes making is a comfortable and reliable mountain bike. Your kid won't need to have any back-off in going down that steep little hill in the off-road trails around the Yarra, he can just go for it! As long as you're not planning anything too crazy, this bike is great for riding along bike paths with some off-road riding to mix it up a little. It's a 20inch frame which makes it appropriate for most kids aged 5-10. It's really just one step down from an adult mountain bike but really you can't tell the difference (other than size, of course). The best way to get some reality on this bike is to bring your son in for a test ride on one. We can guarantee they will love it! |

2012 Giant Areva 20" Street
The price is $279

|
This neat little mountain bike has a lightweight alloy frame and front suspension making it perfect choice for when your youngster is ready to ride along the trails with you. It's the equivalent of the old MTX 150 street girls - but cheaper and better! The 3 speed hub gearing, coaster brake and front alloy V-brake are easy to use while still giving the bike the versatility to tackle some inclines. A 3 speed gear sytem is simpler to use than a derailleur system, because the gears can be changed whether stationary or moving. It is simply a matter of moving the lever. The 20 inch wheels with alloy rims and low standover height make this model suitable for children 5-10 years old. There is plenty of adjustment in the seat pole and the headstem to allow for your child's growth. Of course the bicycle comes fully assembled so that you don't have to worry about a thing. There is 12 month's free service included and we encourage you to take advantage of this to keep your child's bike in perfect running order. |

Giant XTC Junior
The price is $279

|
The Xtc 150 is now called Xtc Junior 20"
It suits ages 6-9.
Giant have always made very reliable kids bikes, and this one is no exception. The XTC Junior 20 is new in the Giant kids range for 2012. But essentially it's the same as last year's favourite, the Xtc 150.
It has a aluminium frame to keep the bike light and easy to maneuvre and prevents rusting if it ever happens to get left out in the back yard for just a little too long. It has front suspension so make the ride less "jolty" for your child and also helps him to maintain his balance a lot easier. This bike has 6 gears which make it easy for your child to start getting the hang of gears before he has to jump straight up to the average 21-24 speed gear system. And the Alloy "V" brakes make the braking system more reliable and effective (that's always helpful and reassuring as a parent!) Overall, this is just a fantastic little bike that is recommended highly by our staff. Available in black with cyan. Bring your child in to test ride one today. |

2012 Giant Bella Girls Bike
The price is $219

|
The Giant Bella supercedes the Giant Holly. This great looking girls bike has an aluminium frame and wheels keep the weight down, and keep the bike easy to push along. An aluminium frame also means no matter how long the bike is left in the backyard in the rain, the frame and wheels won't rust' so the bike will uphold it's quality for years. While on that subject, all Giant bikes use a high quality paint finish that retain its lustre for years. Whether we like it or not, most kids bikes spend quite a bit of time left outside, so a poor paint finish will quickly deteriorate, not so with Giant bikes.
As with all Giant's this bike is well designed and not just appealing in appearance. The bike is made to be simple to operate, easy to pedal and has very effective brakes. The ease of use will help improve your girl's confidence and riding skills, and allow you to go on longer rides without running out of energy, or enthusiasm. Because it is so easy to use the bike is likely to be used more regularly, hopefully reducing the time spent watching tv or playing computer games. |

2012 Giant Moda Boys Bike
The price is $219

|
The new Giant Moda 20" boys bmx for 2012 is a sleek, stylish looking bike for the youngster ready for a bigger bike, but perhaps not quite ready for gears.
Being really simple to operate it is great bike to take down to the park and to ride around quiet streets. With its 20" wheels, this is the next size up from the 16" Giant Animator, and would suit tall 5 and 6 years olds through to kids around 8, 9 or 10, depending on how quickly they're growing!
The bike has a lightweight aluminium frame, it is very light and easy to handle, ideal for a growing child. As you can see, the frame is designed to have plenty of clearance, so it easy to stand over, and has high handlebars so that they keep their eyes on the trail ahead. Overall it is a simple bike, that is easy to pedal

AFL Bikes 20".
Price is $219!
|
These bikes are available in all the Victorian team colours. The kids will go crazy over them - get their favourite team's bike and take them out to the park so they can show it off to all their friends! The bike comes with a front number plate with official AFL mascot.
The bikes are excellent quality, featuring a lightweight alloy frame and wheel rims, stainless steel spokes, and fully adjustable handlebars and head stem. Quick release seat, coaster rear brake and front hand brake. Wide fit training wheels for strength and durability. The quality of the paint finish is also very impressive - they have a lovely sheen and will last a long time looking great - these bikes are not a cheap gimmick! They are an excellent bike in their own right, which is surprising because just the AFL colours would be enough to get them rolling out the door alone, but if they were cheaply-made junk I would refuse to stock them. So rest assured, these little bikes will be sturdy enough and durable enough to hand down to the next sibling when the original owner grows too big - I just hope your whole family follows the same team otherwise you'll have to buy another one in different colours!
Suitable for children 5 to 12 years. |
