Giant Reign X1 2009 With the butted hydro formed frame, this bike has a (relatively) light, yet really tough frame, incorporating the Maestro 6.7" travel co-pivot suspension system. The Fox DHX3.0 rear shock, combined with Fox 36 Vanilla R coil forks give excellent control on the fast descents, yet do not weigh so much that it is impossible to climb back up. It is very well equipped with Mavic Crossline wheels, Avid Juicy 5 brakes and SRAM X-9 / X-7 gear system. Bars, stem and pillar are all high quality, being Raceface Evolve DH X-Type. Giant Trance X3 2009. This bike is ideal for those new to off-road riding, or for those with limited funds (isn't that most of us?) This bike has the same frame as the more expensive models, but with less expensive suspension and running gear. This means that the handling and performance of the bike is excellent, it certainly performs brilliantly for the money! The gears and brakes are Shimano Deore and function very well. The front suspension is Fox 32 F120, with Fox Float R rear suspension. There is simply no poor quality equipment on the bike. Even the handlebars and stem are Raceface Ride, with matching seat pillar fitted with a Fi'zi:k Nisene saddle. It even has good tyres, Kenda Nevegal. The retail price is $2999.
